Archeologists have unearthed spearheads, pottery shards and stone tools in a site at the mouth of the Miami River. The relics from prehistoric and indigenous people date back to the dawn of human civilization over 7,000 years ago. Yes, you read that right – 7,000+ years ago or 5,000 BC.

West Eleventh Residences Miami will be a 44-story tower with 659 luxury, fully-furnished residences. The first 15 floors will contain parking and amenities. Floors 16 and up will have the residences.

Miami – From Old to New
At the top of this write-up, I mentioned the archaeology dig going on in downtown Miami. What’s interesting to me is the juxtaposition of that site close to something new and modern.
Construction has begun on an $818 million project to reconstruct and widen 4.5 miles of SR 836/I-395, with a double-decked section and an eye-catching Signature Bridge adding to the Miami skyline.
When complete in 2026, the bridge’s six, massive arches will span 1,025 feet across two busy downtown Miami roadways. It will soar 325 feet above the ground and have a 70-acre public park built under the bridge.
Unfortunately, I can’t sell you this bridge (nor the Brooklyn Bridge), but I can offer you a condo with a view of the bridge, available in certain West Eleventh north- and east-facing residences.
