As you surely heard, Hurricane Ian touched down in Southwest Florida on Sept. 28. It caused severe damage in cities like Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel Island. Here in the Miami area, we were fortunate to only get moderate wind and rain.

I realize hurricanes are not a great talking point when discussing vacation homes for sale in Florida. But they are the price we pay for living in a tropical paradise and a factor buyers should consider.

Fortunately, today’s properties are being built to withstand hurricane-force winds. Florida has some of the most stringent building codes found anywhere in the United States. And they’re strictly enforced. But hurricanes, though rare in severe form, are a reality of living here, especially if you live on the coast.

Today I’ve decided to feature a new condo hotel property in Florida that’s inland where coastal flooding wouldn’t be a factor. It’s a to-be-built resort in a charming city named Davenport, and it’s about a 30-minute drive to Orlando’s theme parks. Read on for details.

Visions in Davenport

Davenport is a pleasant community located in beautiful Central Florida. It is here where Urban Network Capital Group is developing Visions, a luxury vacation resort spanning 42 acres.

Visions condo hotel building will be five stories and have 174 units.

A virtual city-within-a-city, Visions will feature the latest in smart technology, elegant furnishings, exclusive amenities, luxury retail outlets, and breathtaking views – everything needed to elevate the vacation experience.

Visions will include a mix of condo hotel units, townhomes and single-family residences, all of which can be placed in the onsite rental program, giving owners an opportunity to earn rental revenue.

The single-family homes at Visions will have eight bedrooms and over 4,000 sq. ft.

Visions will offer an exceptional array of amenities to its residents and visitors. They’ll be located in the five key areas listed below:

A modern retail plaza and pedestrian street will feature a variety of retailers and service providers.

Additionally, Visions will have 24-hour concierge and security services as well as valet parking.

Three Types of Homes

Visions offers you a choice in the type of vacation home. The condo hotel will be a single, five-story building.

A one-bedroom condo hotel suite will feature contemporary styling and an open floor plan.

The ground floors consist of linear units that are two stories and two bedrooms each, while the 3rd, 4th and 5th floors have more traditional condo hotel units similar to hotel rooms.

The condo hotel units will come fully furnished and finished, ready for occupancy.

Looking for something a bit larger and more private? You can choose a townhome or single-family home. Here’s the full mix:  

  • 174 condo hotel units
  • 135 town homes
  • 46 single family homes
The town homes feature five or six bedrooms and over 2,700 sq. ft.

A Prime Location

Visions’ location is about 30-45 minutes from the Magic Kingdom and other Orlando theme parks. You’ll be close enough to enjoy Orlando’s many attractions but far enough out to avoid dealing with tourist traffic.   Disney attractions include:  

  • Magic Kingdom
  • Animal Kingdom
  • Hollywood Studios
  • Epcot
  • Typhoon Lagoon
  • Blizzard Beach

Universal Studios’ and SeaWorld’s theme parks include:

Construction Schedule

Groundbreaking on Visions is scheduled for mid-2023. The homes and townhouses should be complete by the end of 2023. And the condo hotel is expected to be finished by the beginning of 2025.  

  • The condo hotel units come in studios, and one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites. Prices range from $228,794 to $399,728, including furniture.
  • The townhomes come in five- and six-bedroom floor plans and range from $644,288 to $659,750.
  • The single-family homes come in eight-bedroom floor plans and range from $841,500 to $872,575.

The townhomes and single-family homes don’t include furnishings but furniture packages are available for purchase.

The Visions Clubhouse provides family-friendly indoor/outdoor recreation and entertainment.
