Last weekend I returned to a place I hadn’t been for over 30 years, my college alma mater, the University of Florida in Gainesville. The campus is a five-hour drive from my home, so even though it’s in Florida, it’s not like it’s next door.
A loyal Gators football follower, I typically watch the team’s weekly game on TV. But this past weekend I got to be there in The Swamp with 90,000-plus raving fans and experience the amazing 35-31 come-from-behind victory over the South Carolina Gamecocks.
On the drive home, I detoured through Palm Beach to check out the location of a spectacular, to-be-built condominium, which is today’s featured property. Read on for details.
La Clara Palm Beach Condo
La Clara Palm Beach will be a 25-story luxury, boutique condominium rising in the heart of Palm Beach. It will look out over the beautiful Intracoastal Waterway to the Atlantic Ocean.
Condo Hotel Center has been granted permission to participate in the exclusive preview release of its residences although they’re not yet officially on the market.
La Clara was designed by acclaimed architect, Siamak Harir, and will have only 83 exclusive residences, each with its own spacious balcony and high ceilings with exterior walls of glass that reveal unobstructed water views. This property will be extremely upscale in keeping with the affluent surrounding community.
Plenty of Indoor/Outdoor Amenities
La Clara will have an elegant Porte-Cochere entrance along with lush gardens and an outdoor pool and sundeck. Carefully crafted common spaces throughout the property will serve as places for social gatherings. Much of the second and third floors of La Clara will be set aside for the condominium’s amenities.

An Exclusive Location
The site for La Clara is located on the Intracoastal Waterway, so when you look east, you’ll see the Intracoastal Waterway, and across the Intracoastal you’ll see the ocean.
Palm Beach, or “the island,” as locals lovingly refer to it, is home to legendary resorts, exquisite mansions, superb dining and notable landmarks. The incomparable Worth Avenue, with its many upscale retail shops, offers some of the best shopping east of Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.
La Clara is minutes from West Palm Beach, a hub of nightlife, entertainment, cultural attractions and recreation. There’s the art-and-culture scene at CityPlace, a shopping district and open-air plaza; Clematis Street with its funky sidewalk cafes, colorful murals and buzzworthy bars; charming Antique Row with its 40+ antique shops; and the candy-colored storefronts of Northwood Village, known for its art galleries and global cuisine.
Construction Status & Pricing
Construction on La Clara is scheduled to begin in March 2019. Completion is scheduled for November 2021. Because this property is not officially on the market yet as I mentioned earlier, the developer is still firming up pricing, so I’m unable to give you precise numbers.
I can tell you that the residences come in two- and three-bedroom floor plans, and some with dens for added space. The square footage of the condos, not including their expansive terraces, range from 1,516 sq. ft. to 3,158 sq. ft. The prices will range from $2,000,000 to $5,000,000.
At this early pre-release date, residences can be held with a deposit of 10% with additional deposit monies due at specific benchmarks in the development process. Investors now will be getting in at first-tier, pre-construction pricing and will have their pick of the inventory.

Love Me Some Gators
I so enjoyed my visit back to the University of Florida. Attending the football game, which we won (Did I mention that?), and also strolling around the campus brought back a lot of fun memories. It definitely won’t be another 30 years before I return again.
