As you probably know, I live in South Florida, in a suburb of Fort Lauderdale. My family and I love it here. When we see news stories about the cold temps and snow in other parts of the country, we count our blessings.
Something like this (see below) would never happen here, although I’m guessing my wife could probably come up with a tropical version of the situation if asked.
Maybe you can relate to that situation. But if you’d like the alternative, a home where you’ll NEVER have to shovel snow, then keep reading. I’ve got a luxurious new development in Fort Lauderdale, Florida that could be your ticket to a tropical paradise.
Oceanfront Condos at Auberge Beach
When I hear that a property is “on the ocean,” my expectations are pretty clear. Yet in Ft. Lauderdale, many “oceanfront properties,” in fact, nearly all of the oceanfront properties are located right across the street from the ocean. Close, but not quite the same.

Auberge Beach Residences & Spa will be a new, luxury, true oceanfront condominium located directly on 450 linear feet of pristine beachfront in Fort Lauderdale Beach, Florida. It will have 171 residences, each with spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean, Intracoastal Waterway and the city of Fort Lauderdale.

Auberge is an internationally renowned brand with properties in Napa Valley, Cabos San Lucas, Mexico; Aspen, Colorado; and in Anguilla BWI. This is the first time Auberge iscoming to Florida.

Auberge Beach Residences & Spa in Fort Lauderdale will consist of two light-filled, contemporary glass towers (north tower – 17 stories; south tower – 23 stories) that will maximize the project’s rare on-the-beach setting.
The condos in the north tower with only 57 units were for sale first. The south tower with 114 units were just released now that 85% of the north tower units are under contract.

A Great Location
Auberge is located in the north end of Fort Lauderdale Beach, minutes away from a vast array of destinations for luxury shopping, fine dining and inspired culture. In downtown Fort Lauderdale is the world-renowned Las Olas Boulevard with its outdoor cafés, specialty boutiques and art galleries.
The Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale features a permanent collection of 6,000 works of European, American, and Latin American art on display in a distinctive modernist building. All year round, the Riverwalk Arts & Entertainment Center offers world-class concerts, plays, and musicals.
Also nearby is Port Everglades, one of the top three cruise ship ports in the world, making it easy to visit the many beautiful islands of the Caribbean. Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport is only 10 minutes away.
An Impressive Development Team
The developers for Auberge Beach Residences & Spa are The Related Group and Fortune International Group, two companies that recently collaborated on another condo, Hyde Resort & Residences Hollywood Beach, Florida.
The Related Group is America’s leading builder of residential developments in South Florida with a development portfolio of projects worth over $15 billion.
Fortune is a recognized leader in both the development and sales and marketing of South Florida luxury real estate with a portfolio that includes residential, mixed-use, condo-hotel and office-condo projects.
The architect for the project is Nichols, Brosch, Wurst, Wolf & Associates, which has designed Miami condominium projects for The Related Group and Fortune International Group in the past. And the interior designer is Meyer Davis, an award-winning New York-based design firm.
Groundbreaking on Auberge Beach Residences & Spa is anticipated for the end of 2015. Construction should take approximately two years bringing completion to the end of 2017. The condos are currently being offered at pre-construction prices.
Condos range in size from 1,355 to 5,817 square feet and come in floor plans with one to four bedrooms plus den. Prices range from $1,400,000 to $4,750,000 for the largest units, not including the penthouse.
Condos in the south tower can be reserved now with a deposit of 20% of the purchase price. (A few north tower units still remain available. Please ask for current availability.)
