In a few days Walt Disney World will open its most ambitious land to date, “Pandora – The World of Avatar,” in its Animal Kingdom theme park. It will bring to life James Cameron’s 3D aliens-vs.-developers film.

Visitors will walk under floating mountains, fly with mountain banshees and float through a bio-luminescent rainforest in the new land.

29 Palms Luxury Condos

29 Palms at City Center will be a nine story building with 290 condo residences in Ocoee, Florida, a suburb that abuts Orlando.  With an impressive roof-top amenity center and large pool and spa, residents will feel like they are visiting a five-star resort.

The condominium building is part of a $400-million, lifestyle development, City Center West Orange, that will encompass restaurants, shops and inviting places to socialize.

I’m personally familiar with it (even though I can’t pronounce it) because my sister and her family have lived there for the past 20 years and love it. She is always quick to point out the city’s slogan, which is, “Ocoee, the Center of Good Living.”

Orlando’s numerous theme parks and attractions are less than 30 minutes away.

Ocoee offers easy access to all the great attractions and activities in Orlando but is far enough away from the tourist areas to avoid the traffic.

29 Palms is within 15-30 minutes of:

  • Disney World
  • Universal Studios
  • Sea World
  • Disney’s Wide World of Sports
  • Orlando International Airport
  • Downtown Orlando
  • Orange County Convention Center
  • International Drive (shops, restaurants, attractions)
  • Various arts, cultural and sports venues

Leaseback Program for Investors

29 Palms is suitable as a primary residence or vacation home. It also has investment potential. Condo owners have the option to participate in a two-year seller leaseback program offering a 5% NET rental guarantee.  All HOA fees, real estate taxes and management fees will be the developer’s responsibility.

Ocoee has a strong rental market. Estimated rental rates, per the leaseback program guarantees are:

Construction Already Underway

Construction on City Center West Orange began in January 2017 by preparing the site with all underground utilities and street work.  Completion of this $20-million phase of the project is scheduled for late 2017.  Then construction will begin on 29 Palms and the 200,000 square feet of retail space with a target completion date in late 2019, approximately 24 months later.

Affordable Pricing

29 Palms offers a variety of floor plans with one to three bedrooms, all of which come with dens.  The condos range in size from 693 square feet to 1,453 square feet.Prices are extremely inexpensive compared to what similar properties in my own backyard of South Florida would cost. The 29 Palms condos range in price from $192,000 to $349,000.

Volcano Bay Opening Soon!

In the beginning of this write-up, I told you about Disney’s new World of Avatar. But that’s not the only grand opening expected in Orlando. Universal’s Volcano Bay will open in just a couple of weeks.

It’s a water theme park with 18 different attractions. Careen down slides, brave whitewater torrents, drift down a lazy river or relax in your own waterside cabana. This water park is just steps away from Universal’s other world-class theme parks including Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios.
