Trump
International Hotel & Tower, Ft. Lauderdale,
Last 30 Units Placed on Market
(FORT LAUDERDALE, FL), May 10, 2006
- Developers for the Trump International Hotel &
Tower, Fort Lauderdale, a five-star condo hotel that
was thought to be sold out during the pre-construction
phase, have just announced the release of 30 additional
units. Held back pending a design decision, these
will be the final condo hotel units made available
in the to-be-built development.
The
announcement regarding these 30 units was made by
Donald Trump himself at a recent event celebrating
the success of the project. The Trump International
Hotel & Tower was originally released for pre-construction
sales back in February 2005.
Designed by world-renowned architect
Michael Graves, the $200 million, 24-story, condo
hotel will encompass two buildings on a two-acre,
complete city block. It will have approximately 200
feet of direct ocean frontage and a building plan
that maximizes the Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal
Waterway views from almost every room.
"The real estate market in Fort
Lauderdale remains as strong as ever, and the introduction
of Trump International Hotel & Tower will raise
the bar even higher. The property will become a new
landmark for the 21st Century," stated Donald
J. Trump.
"When completed in early 2008,
Trump International will be a model for other mixed-use
projects for decades to come," added Roy Stillman,
developer.
The Trump International Hotel &
Tower will feature 298 condo hotel units of which
only 30 now remain available. In total the development
will consist of 150 studios, 75 one-bedrooms and 73
two-bedrooms, each with its own large terrace.
As condo hotel units, the individual
owners will be able to use their vacation home when
they want and place it in the hotel's rental program
when they're not in residence. The owner shares in
the revenue generated by their unit. All maintenance,
rental and operational issues are handled by the hotel's
management, ensuring true hassle-free ownership.
The front of the Trump International
building has been designed with gently sloping curves
that give the building's front a very unique, rounded
appearance. The buildings will be painted yellow and
blue to capture the essence of Ft. Lauderdale, the
sun and the ocean.
Michael Graves, architect for the
project, says that yachting, one of Fort Lauderdale's
principal leisure pastimes, was his design inspiration
for Trump International. With its curvilinear lines
and art-deco accents, the Hotel & Tower will emulate
the elegance and grace of the luxury ocean cruise
liners of the 1920's, according to Graves.
Amenities will include a 1,600 sq.
ft. mosaic grand pool and sun deck overlooking the
ocean; a 3,000 sq. ft. health club & full-service
spa; a 1,700 sq. ft. fitness center with state-of-the-art
equipment and personal trainers; a world-class restaurant
featuring spectacular ocean views, indoor and outdoor
seating; large function space for weddings and catered
events; and 24-hour white glove concierge, security,
valet and room service.
The individual condo hotel units will
feature designer furnishings, oversized windows offering
expansive views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal
Waterway, Italian marble flooring, exquisitely planned
kitchens with top of the line appliances, owner's
private storage, flat screen TV's, wireless internet
and high-tech security.
When completed, Trump International
Hotel and Tower Fort Lauderdale will join signature
projects in Chicago and Las Vegas as the only three
Trump properties modeled after the Trump International
Hotel & Tower in New York, which was rated the
number one hotel in the United States by Condé
Nast Traveler.
"Everything about this condo
hotel will be first class," said Joel Greene,
president of Condo Hotel Center, a Miami real estate
firm that specializes in condo hotels. "While
Fort Lauderdale has already become an upscale vacation
destination appealing to both U.S. and international
visitors, this property will further enhance the city's
prestige and is destined to become its crown jewel."
Construction just recently began at
the Trump Ft. Lauderdale site. Fully-furnished deluxe
studios, one- and two-bedroom suites are among the
30 units available in this final offering. They range
from $700,000 to over $3,000,000.
