INTRAWEST NETWORK TO INCLUDE TONOPALO IN LAKE TAHOE, CALIFORNIA

Intrawest Corporation, the premier developer and operator of village-centered resorts in North America, announced the second resort location to come under the umbrella of its new company, Storied Places. The resort, Tonopalo, on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, California, was developed by Graham Properties, LLC of Nevada.

“Tonopalo is a perfect complement to what we have envisioned for our collection of the most unique, mystical places in the world,” said Jim Onken, Storied Places president.

Storied Places is a new, wholly-owned Intrawest company that will develop and operate small, exclusive neighborhoods of high-end resort homes where the benefits of owning a full-sized private residence are combined with limited commitment and personalized five-star service. Storied Places will develop and manage private communities around the world.

The first Storied Place, At Nature's Door, is in Whistler, British Columbia.

Tonopalo, a private residence club, is a $66.5-million project built on 270 feet of white sand beach. "It is designed to meet the desire of the many busy families who want the enjoyment of their own luxurious North Lake Tahoe beachfront retreat, without the hassles that go along with second-home ownership," said Michael Graham, president of Graham Properties, LLC. "The management of Tonopalo by Storied Places and the addition of Tonopalo to the Storied Places collection completes our vision to create one of the most exclusive private residence resorts in the world."

Perfectly sited on a 2.3-acre parcel in Tahoe Vista, Tonopalo encompasses 19 luxury three- and four-bedroom residences, highlighting designer interiors and lake views. Interior design is by Slifer Designs, ranked among the top three national interior design firms in the U.S. by Interior Design magazine and the authority on high-end mountain resort design. Waterworks, the leading luxury brand for bath fixtures, provides the finishing touches to this beachfront retreat.

At Tonopalo, owners are surrounded by five-star private club treatment. An innkeeper couple and staff with a resort insider's knowledge and connections and an understanding of the fine art of living, provide services ranging from securing the best table at the best restaurant in town on a busy weekend to stocking wine cabinets and refrigerators with the owner's favorites.

As a private resort environment, Tonopalo is limited to 133 ownership interests permitting no more than seven families for each residence.
