Perched atop the dramatic seaside cliffs of Funchal on the Portuguese island of Madeira overlooking the Atlantic Ocean is the Golden Residence Hotel. This popular hotel will undergo a $5.8 million renovation to bring it up to “six-star” standards and will be branded with a prestigious new flag.
