SLS Cancún Hotel & Residences is the creation of visionary developer Jorge Pérez of The Related Group, well known for his many first class residential properties in south Florida. Working along with Perez are the companies Inmobilia and Ucalli.
Inmobilia is an experienced developer with many international award-winning properties including Yucatan Country Club, a prestigious golf and master-planned community. Ucalli, in business since 1972, has a long track record that includes residential communities, condominiums and high-end office space.
Also involved is Sam Nazarian of sbe, which owns the SLS brand, a global network of hotels and restaurants. The architect for the project is Miami-based Arquitectonica, and world-renowned designer Piero Lissoni has put his special touch on everything from the lobby to the SLS’s interior amenity spaces and beach club. Together, the development team plans to create what they’re calling “Cancún’s hottest new lifestyle destination.”
SLS Cancún in Puerto Cancún has an excellent location. It’s just 15 minutes to downtown Cancún with its many shops and restaurants, and 30 minutes to Cancún International Airport. Direct flights from Miami to Cancún are 90 minutes, and 4.5 hours from Los Angeles.
Construction on SLS Cancún is expected to begin toward the end of 2017 with completion tentatively planned for 2020. The hotel residences can be reserved now with a 20% deposit.
