When people think of Australia’s Gold Coast, they picture a surfer’s paradise with crashing waves, golden beaches and lush green landscaping. The Raptis Group Limited, one of the largest developers along the Gold Coast, has announced they’re building something that you couldn’t find on the coast before – a five-star condo hotel.

In fact, this will be the first condo hotel property in all of Australia. With Hilton managing the property, it has been aptly named the Hilton Surfers Paradise Hotel and Residences. The property will feature two modern towers that offer all the amenities of a five-star hotel with the added luxury of being able to call a unit your home.

Hilton Surfers Paradise Hotel and Residences will be built in two phases. Both phases are currently underway and will be completed roughly 10 months apart.

Stage I condo hotel units are currently being offered for sale. The 32-story Phase I building, named “Boulevard Tower,” will be home to 186 one- and two-bedroom units with a retail area at the base of the building.

Stage II, named “Orchid Tower,” will be a larger, 55-story building with 220 two-, and three-bedroom units plus 170 full-time hotel rooms. A release date for Phase II units has not been determined.

Owners of condo hotel units at Hilton Surfers Paradise Hotel and Residences may live their year round, or they may choose to place their unit into the hotel’s rental program.

Owners who place their residence into the rental program, may still use it as much as they like as long as proper notice is given.

Condo hotel units in Phase I at Hilton Surfers Paradise Hotel and Residences are available in one- and two-bedroom floorplans. Prices start at approximately $570,000 USD and go up to $960,000 USD. Construction on Phase I is scheduled to be completed in May or June of 2009.
