The Hammocks on Bald Head
Island is a small development of luxury vacation homes
available as affordable fractionals, entitling each
owner to four weeks of use per year.
Arranged in a sweeping crescent shape and connected
to one another by boardwalks, each home in The Hammocks
takes full advantage of the natural views of the forest,
golf course and Atlantic Ocean.
Owners will have access
to one of America's barely-touched island retreats,
including its 7,000-yard, 18-hole golf course which
weaves through lush forests and immense sand dunes.
 Other
popular island activities include biking, hiking,
kayaking and lounging on Bald Head's pristine South
and East beaches. In fact, the 14 miles of beaches
on Bald Head Island have been named to the top-20
in the world by Stephen "Dr. Beach" Leatherman
and included in the Frommer's Travel Guide.
Bald Head Island also
includes 10,000 acres of marshes and creeks, 200 acres
of maritime forest, numerous walking trails and a
10-acre marina and yacht club.
Each of the luxurious
North Carolina beach homes in The Hammocks is customized
with rich colors and quality interior amenities chosen
by a professional design team. The homes have screened
porches, open decks, gas fireplaces and designer furnishings.
Owners of The Hammocks
also receive membership to three island clubs:
1. Bald Head Island Club
- seaside golf course, swimming pool, tennis courts,
fitness room, restaurants
2. Hammocks Club -swimming
pool, exercise facilities, outdoor hot tub, billiards

3. Shoals Club -swimming
pools, fitness rooms, elegant dining, direct beach

memberships, owners at The Hammocks will have an opportunity
to participate in the resort's exchange program. Managed
by Interval International, it offers exchange privileges
with 2,200 world-class resorts (including Hyatt, Marriott,
Ritz-Carlton, Disney and Four Seasons) in 75 countries.
Owners get membership to The Bald Head
Island Club with its seaside golf course, Olympic
swimming pool and restaurants.
Construction on The Hammocks'
homes is underway and scheduled to be complete by
fall 2007. Reservations are currently being accepted
for The Hammocks' fully furnished, 2,250 square-foot,
three-bedroom homes. Prices range from $147,900 to
$188,900 for a 1/13th fraction, equal to a week in
each season for a total of 28 days per year.
