The Bilmar Beach Resort is a landmark property that has been a beachfront destination for more than 40 years. Located on the central Gulf Coast of Florida, it has operated as a successful hotel with only two different owners during that span.

The Bilmar Beach Resort recently underwent a $12 million renovation-conversion to become an upscale condo hotel with a three-diamond rating from AAA.

Situated on 550 feet of inviting beach, nearly all of the Bilmar condo hotel units face the Gulf. Available are a total of 154 condo hotel units consisting of studios, efficiencies, one-bedrooms, two-bedrooms and a few penthouses. They are contained in three structures -- an eight-story, a four-story and a three-story building.

Fully furnished, the Bilmar condo hotel units are tastefully decorated in a tropical motif and feature kitchenettes, flat screen TVs, granite countertops, crown molding, Kohler & Moen fixtures and high-speed Internet service. Some units have private patios, balconies or picture windows facing the beach. Prices at the Bilmar start at $189,900 for deluxe efficiencies (subject to change without notice).

Treasure Island is a peaceful island 3.5 miles long with a slow, gentle lifestyle. It is located between St. Pete Beach on the south and Clearwater Beach on the north. Known as a gathering spot for kite flyers and sand castle builders, it is considered part of the Gulf Beaches.
