Two Tennis
Greats to Bring Their
Winning Ways to Condo Hotels
Andre
Agassi & Steffi Graf to Develop Fairmont
Tamarack in Idaho
I
don't know if you're a tennis fan, but even
those who aren't couldn't help but be touched
by Andre Agassi's farewell to tennis when he
officially retired at the U.S. Open on Sept.
3, 2006 - as he'd said he would - after his
21st consecutive tournament resulted in a loss
to German qualifier Benjamin Becker.
Collapsing in his courtside
chair, the tearful 36-year-old looked up through
his fingers to see 20,000 people standing and
cheering for him in Arthur Ashe Stadium in a
tribute that lasted a solid four minutes.
Also applauding: Agassi's wife,
Steffi Graf, herself a tennis champ, and their
two children, Jaden, 4, and Jaz, 2.
That day was all about Agassi's amazing tennis
accomplishments and what he brought to the sport.
What was never brought up were his plans for
the future, where he would next bring his competitive
spirit and winning ways. Today, my friends,
I have the answer, and as you might have guessed,
it's related to condo hotels.
The
Fairmont Tamarack
Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf, through their
company Agassi Graf Development LLC, are partnering
with Miami-based Bayview Financial LP(R), to
develop a luxury mountain condo hotel to be
called the Fairmont Tamarack located in Donnelly,
Idaho, approximately two hours from Boise.
Nestled in Idaho's Payette River
Mountains, it will be part of the much larger
Tamarack Resort, an all-season resort. First
let me tell you a little about this incredible
existing resort before I get into the details
of the to-be-built Fairmont Tamarack condo hotel.

Agassi and Graf's Fairmont Tamarack
condo hotel will be part of the 2,100 acre Tamarack
Resort.
Amazing
Amenities at Tamarack Resort
Tamarack Resort consists of 2,100 acres. Development
began in 2004, and it now has a combination
of estate homes, condos, cottages, townhomes
and chalets. What makes this resort so spectacular
though is the amenities.
Skiing:
Considered one of the world's best ski areas,
Tamarack's mountain terrain is like no other,
with ski trails that cover an area of 2,150
acres and a 2,800-foot vertical drop, complete
with seven lifts (three high-speed quads) and
runs spreading across 840 acres. And listen
to this. Last year's recorded snowfall was 420
inches!
New snowboarding terrain features
six table-tops, 25 rails and boxes, two picnic
tables, and seven new rails/boxes. "Hell's Canyon"
superpipe is a snowboarder's dream, at 16-feet
high, 400-feet long and with a pitch of 16 degrees.
Lakefront
Activities: The 22-mile long
Lake Cascade located at the base of the mountain
has 86 miles of shoreline. It is one of the
most heavily fished waters in the state. Lake
Cascade is also perfect for recreational activities
such as boating, waterskiing, lake kayaking
and swimming. Lake Cascade's warm water temperatures
in the spring and summer months make for great
waterskiing and wakeboarding.
Golfing:
Tamarack Resort features a scenic Robert Trent
Jones II 18-hole championship golf course. The
7,400-yard, par 72 course has four teeing options
on each hole, average greens of over 7,000 square
feet, and an ideal layout with five par 5's,
five par 3's and eight par 4's.

Osprey Meadow is an 18-hole Robert
Trent Jones II-designed golf course.
The esteemed Jack Nicklaus Academy
is headquartered at Tamarack, providing tailored
golf instruction for every skill level. The
Jack Nicklaus Academy of Golf boasts the highest-quality
golf professionals, all trained in the Nicklaus
Academies philosophy. In the winter, the meadow
is transformed to a Nordic skier's paradise
of rolling trails.
Hiking
and Biking: During the summers
at Tamarack, the mountain is transformed into
a hiker's and biker's paradise. Tamarack has
an extensive network encompassing 60 miles of
hiking and mountain biking trails built by the
International Mountain Bicycling Association.
The trails are used throughout
the year by resort guests as well as Olympic-bound
athletes for both biking and skiing.
Something
for Everyone: For relaxation,
Tamarack Resort guests enjoy the full-service
Sante Spa. After a busy day of skiing or hiking,
they can also indulge themselves at Morels,
the on-site fine dining restaurant.
Tamarack is, above all, a family-friendly
resort. It has a Kids' Camp (ages 4-12) and
offers activities ranging from rock climbing
to arts and crafts, golf clinics, skiing, nature
tours, ice skating, and more.
Enjoy
the Great Outdoors
While there is plenty to keep you occupied at
Tamarack Resort, you'll find lots of activities
available to do just beyond its front gates
should you want to get the full "great
outdoors experience."

White water rafting is one of
the most popular summer activities in Idaho.
Consider these options:
- White water class 5 kayaking
and rafting
- Fly fishing
- Steelhead fishing
- Big game hunting - moose,
deer, elk, etc.
- Aerial tours
- Snowmobiling
- Cat skiing on untouched
powder
- Cross country skiing
- Snowshoeing
- Hiking in Frank Church wilderness
- Swimming in natural hot
springs
The
Condo Hotel
The Fairmont Tamarack will be a five-star condo
hotel located on the Tamarack Resort grounds.
The feel will be charming, a form of rustic
elegance and an inviting complement to the stunning
natural beauty of the area. Owners will be able
to use their vacation home when they want and
place it in the Fairmont-managed voluntary rental
program when they're not there, sharing in the
revenue it generates.

Fairmont Tamarack will offer
upscale amenities and five-star services.
Fairmont Tamarack
will feature all the luxuries you'd expect from
the Fairmont name including:
- 17,000 sq. ft. Fairmont
Willow Stream European-style spa
- State-of-the-art fitness
facilities
- Indoor-outdoor swimout pool
(you can swim from indoors to outdoors)
-
3
to 4 restaurants offering indoor and outdoor
dining
- Meeting and conference facilities
- 24-hour room service
- 24-hour concierge service
- Ski concierge for lift tickets,
rentals and lessons
- Gear valet - stores your
ski gear, golf clubs, etc.
- Outdoor fire pits
- Rock climbing wall
- Kids Entertainment Center
- Private snow front ski valet
lounge

Fairmont Tamarack will be connected
by sky bridge to the Village Walk with its dining,
shopping and entertainment venues.
Village
Plaza
One of the most unique elements of the Fairmont
Tamarack will be the 200,000 sq. ft. Village
Plaza that will be connected to the condo hotel
by a sky bridge. The six-building, multi-tiered
Village Plaza, which will open summer 2008,
will feature a movie theatre, and 23 boutiques,
shops and restaurants with an emphasis on unique
business concepts. Construction on the Village
Plaza is already well underway.

The charming 200,000 sq. ft.
Village Plaza will be up and running by the
time Fairmont Tamarack is open.
Evocative of Europe's beloved
pedestrian-friendly town squares, Village Plaza
will be an inviting space where family and friends
gather to share warm memories and fashion new
ones. It will be built and operational by 2008,
in time for the opening of Fairmont Tamarack.
Agassi's
and Graf's Commitment
In addition to being financial investors in
the project, Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf are
actively involved in the development, design
and overall lifestyle offering of Fairmont Tamarack.
They say they chose Tamarack
for their first development because of its stunning
natural surroundings, ideal not just for skiing
but for the unparalleled active outdoor lifestyle
it offers.
"Tamarack is the perfect
location for anyone interested in taking a little
time out of their lives to get away or spend
quality time with their family," said
Agassi. "Our vision is to create an exceptional
lifestyle offering that complements the natural
beauty and uniqueness of the resort. It's about
bringing the highest standard of quality and
luxury to the whole experience."
Although not all the details
regarding the condo hotel have been finalized,
what is clear is Agassi and Graf's commitment
to family. They've already specified the following
amenities geared toward children will be included:
- Theater
- Rock climbing walls
- Bungee trampoline equipment
- Arcade
An
Experienced Developer
To design the project, AgassiGraf Development
and Bayview Financial selected internationally-renowned
interior architectural design firm Wilson &
Associates, whose varied and global projects
include:
Also collaborating
on the project is Colorado-based architecture
firm VAg, Inc., which specializes in residential
resort architecture and prides itself on environmental
awareness, a critical aspect to the long-term
vision at Tamarack.

Top-Notch
Franchise
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts will manage the
luxury hotel and residences. This first-class
company features a collection of secluded lodges,
ski resorts, castles and modern retreats, at
some of the world's most celebrated addresses.
With locations throughout 10
countries, their 51 distinctive hotels, including
the Fairmont San Francisco, the Fairmont Chateau
Whistler, the London's Savoy and the recently
announced, Fairmont,
Pompano Beach, FL, Fairmont promises
travelers rich experiences and lasting memories
in unparalleled settings.
Getting
There
Tamarack Resort offers a chance to truly "get
away from it all." As some of their staff
has told me, the location is a frequent hideaway
for celebrities trying to enjoy a little R &
R without the paparazzi snapping pictures of
their every move. (Yeah, I understand. I have
that problem sometimes too.)

George Bush, posing with a resort
guest, was one of the recent celebrities to
escape to Tamarack Resort for a little R &
R.
The good news is that despite
the resort's "isolation," it's actually
not very hard to get to. The Boise, Idaho international
airport is an hour and 50 minutes away. However,
Tamarack Resort offers a convenient shuttle
service.
There is a private airport for
those people chartering a plane or flying their
own which is just 19 miles from the resort.
Finally, it's worth mentioning that Fairmont
is currently in negotiations to arrange for
commercial flights to also fly into that private
airport.

Fairmont Tamarack will have 291
units spread among two locations of the resort.
The
Condo Hotel Units, Sizes & Prices
There will be three different releases or phases
at the Fairmont Tamarack condo hotel offering
a total of 291 units at two locations in the
resort, one at the base of the mountain and
one mid-mountain. They will include 222 condo
hotel units and 69 private residence condos.
You have an opportunity now
to get in on the first release of units on Belvedere
Ridge, offering scenic views of Tamarack's mountain,
championship golf course and Lake Cascade.

There are four main types of
units, all fully-furnished:
- Studio units, 650 sq. ft.
Prices start at approximately $780,000.
- One-bedroom units, 1,300
sq. ft. Prices start at approximately $1,560,000.
- Two-bedroom units, 1,950
sq. ft. Prices start at approximately $2,340,000.
- Private condo residences,
1,706 st. ft. Prices start at approximately
$2,388,889.
The units will be delivered
fully furnished and will include such amenities
as balconies, fireplace, hardwood flooring and
carpeting, high-end appliances with flat screen
TV, service bar with granite counter tops and
various extra special touches.
The developers expect to break
ground on the first phase in June 2007 and be
completed by mid-2009. The second phase is likely
to start in 2008 but has not yet been firmly
determined.

Choose from studio, one bedroom
and two bedroom condo hotel units, all designer
furnished.
Reserve
Your Unit
The developers have just begun accepting priority
reservations. We can provide you with a Priority
Reservation Form now that will assure you of
a condo hotel unit at the selection event in
January 2007. Reservation Forms will be date
and time stamped in the order they're received
by the developer team. Therefore, the sooner
you get yours in, the earlier you'll have an
opportunity to select a unit.
The first 125 units can be reserved.
The balance will be offered in a lottery system.
If you reserve your unit now, you will be getting
in at first tier pricing and when selection
is greatest. Other than the 20 units already
spoken for by Andre Agassi, Steffi Graff and
their family and friends, you can pretty much
have your pick.
Major marketing of this resort
will begin in late October and go throughout
November and December with a variety of kickoff
events and nationwide presentations, so you
really are getting in at the earliest possible
opportunity.
The reservation deposit is $10,000
(check or AMEX only) and is fully refundable
if for any reason you decide not to purchase.
20% of the purchase price will be required at
the time of contract with the balance due upon
completion in 2009.
Request a
Data Sheet
Before we send you a Priority Reservation Form,
you'll want to review our detailed data sheet
on the Fairmont Tamarack.
It will give you additional information including
specific pricing and unit sizes. On the data
sheet, you'll also find instructions for how
to proceed if you're interested in pursuing
a unit reservation.
To receive our data sheet, we
ask that you provide your name, address and
phone number in accordance with developer requirements.
You will be registered with the developer as

Wrap Up
So there you have it, an incredible four-season
condo hotel resort in scenic Idaho, currently
able to be reserved at first tier, preconstruction
pricing.
Andre Agassi sure has come a
long way from his beginnings as the long-haired
bad-boy of tennis - the colorful teen-aged rebel
with attitude. Somewhere along the way he matured
into the elder statesman of American tennis.
Perhaps he can do the same for condo hotels.
Just a quick reminder. If you
haven't checked out our New Listings in a while,
be sure to do so. We recently added properties
in the Bahamas, Costa Rica, Orlando and Colorado.
