Sea Mist Resort
Myrtle Beach, SC Condo Hotel
Discover sun,
fun and the good life.
Prices start at just $263,900!
Hi,
it's Henry Perfilio from Condo Hotel Center. I have
to tell you, I'm especially excited about this latest
property. "Why?" you ask?
Well, aside from the
fact that it's an incredible opportunity to buy the
vacation home of a lifetime, this property is located
in my home city, Myrtle Beach.
Ok I admit it, I'm a little biased. I've been telling
my friends and family for years how amazing Myrtle
Beach is. How it's the East Coast's "hidden jewel"
- not to mention the furthest north you can go and
still see palm trees (I bet you didn't know there
were palm trees in South Carolina, did you?).
From swim-worthy beaches
to the most spectacular golf courses in the nation,
folks everywhere are discovering why Myrtle Beach
is one of the nation's top vacation destinations.
And now Condo Hotel Center is giving you a chance
to get in on the action!
New
Oasis at Sea Mist Resort
Today's featured property is located in Myrtle Beach's
most popular traveler hotspot, the magnificent Sea
Mist Resort. Sea Mist has recently partnered with
local developer Strand Capital Group, LLC on a sensational,
$800 million redevelopment project, designed to make
Myrtle Beach the ultimate vacation destination.
Phase I will include a 20-story high-rise
called New Oasis, which will feature condo hotel units
with stunning views of the Atlantic. And now the first
of 273 total units are available at early pre-construction
prices.

New Oasis will be the first new building
at Sea Mist Resort, with 273 luxury condo hotel units
overlooking the ocean.
I'll give you more details
about these units in just a minute . . . but first
I want to give you a little background on Sea Mist,
an oceanfront paradise on South Carolina's "Grand
Strand."
The
Legendary Sea Mist Resort
Sea Mist first opened in 1954 as a nine-unit hotel
on the shores of a budding Myrtle Beach, and was open
for business from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
As the beach "season" grew, owners Jason
and Tena Ammons quickly saw the area's potential and
began positioning Sea Mist as a year-round vacation
destination.
By 1968, Sea Mist grew
to 77 units, with a swimming pool, tennis court, and
coffee shop. Now, the Ammons' four children, Neil,
Chick, Marty and Steve, were part of the family business.
Time passed, and by 1982 the resort included 313 units
and its first indoor pool. Expansion continued through
the 1980s, as the Sea Mist added a conference center,
water park, and a pedestrian tunnel under Ocean Boulevard,
plus offered over 800 units.

Sea Mist features its own water park
and mini-golf course right on-site at the resort.
In 1991, the Ammons' purchased
the Grand Strand Amusement Park, and with several
key updates, reopened the site as Family Kingdom Amusement
Park - with more than 35 rides and the distinction
of the only oceanfront water park at Myrtle Beach.
Today, the Ammons family remains active in the Sea
Mist organization.
Sea Mist Resort highlights:
- The largest resort water park
in Myrtle Beach (and it's heated, too!)
- 8 outdoor pools, 1 heated indoor
pool and 6 kiddie pools
- 3 irresistible resort Jacuzzis
- The Castle-in-the-Mist, a state-of-the-art,
multi-level play station
- 3,000 square foot children's activity
pool
- Huge arcade with over 120 video
games
- Misty Falls Miniature Golf
- Fitness center, fully equipped

The Sea Mist Resort, Myrtle Beach's
largest oceanfront resort, is about to be part of
an $800 million redevelopment project.
A
Redevelopment Spanning 12 Acres
The Sea Mist Resort has established
itself over 50-plus years as Myrtle Beach's largest
and most complete oceanfront resort. The redevelopment
project, which includes over 1,500 oceanfront and
ocean view condos as well as a host of brand-new resort
amenities and attractions, will undoubtedly ensure
Sea Mist's dominance in the area. Myrtle Beach councilwoman
Susan Grissom Means called the revamp "the most
beautiful project that we've ever had brought to the
city."
The all-new Sea Mist
Resort will span 12 acres and feature the largest
resort water park in Myrtle Beach, water playscapes,
relaxing lazy rivers, crystal clear swimming pools
and Jacuzzis in addition to the many other expanded
resort features and unit upgrades. The resort will
also feature a unique collection of shops, restaurants
and multiple sophisticated fitness centers.

The design of the new Sea Mist will
feature lush landscaping and elegant architecture
reflective of the original resort.
The Sea Mist project
is so large, it will be completed in seven phases
over the course of nine years. The estimated start
date is in spring 2007 and estimated completion date
is in summer 2016.
When done, Sea Mist
Resort will feature:
- Several heated outdoor and indoor
pools
- Over two-acres of water parks,
exterior plazas and spacious pool decks
- State-of-the-art fitness facilities
- Over 20,000 square feet of eclectic
shops and other commercial areas
- Two parks, widened sidewalks,
enhanced landscaping and other enhanced open spaces
- Restaurants, seaside patio dining,
coffee shops, cafés and other eateries
Now, with the pre-release of Phase
I (yes, you have a chance to get in that early!),
you'll have the unprecedented opportunity to own a
piece of "the Mist" for yourself!
A "New Oasis"
Emerges From the Mist
During redevelopment, all existing structures at Sea
Mist will be demolished and replaced with new structures
except for the Tides and Driftwood buildings, which
will receive a "facelift."
Rising above these two
buildings will be a horseshoe-shaped twin set of towers,
two 20-story buildings called New Oasis. All units
will have private balconies and excellent views of
the ocean.

New Oasis, the taller building pictured
above, will offer family fun amenities like a water
"playscape" and lazy river.
In addition to the existing
amenities of the Sea Mist Resort, owners of New Oasis
units will enjoy the following features:
- Private balconies with spectacular
views
- Premium furniture and appliance
package
- Water "playscape," swimming
pool
- Lazy river for relaxing floating
- Spacious sun deck
- Fitness facility with sauna, steam
room and private dressing area
- Restaurant and lounge with outdoor
patio seating
- Full housekeeping, security and
concierge services
People
Everywhere are Discovering the "Grand Strand"
The Myrtle Beach area, also
known as South Carolina's Grand Strand, is a 60-mile
stretch of wide beaches along the Atlantic Ocean.
The Grand Strand begins at the South Carolina state
line at Little River (in Horry County) and stretches
south through Pawleys Island (Georgetown County).

Myrtle Beach is located within a single
day's drive of over 40% of the U.S. population!
Myrtle Beach was incorporated
in 1938 and became a city in 1957. In the 1960s, a
golf boom began, with new courses being built each
year.
In the 1970s and '80s,
construction of attractions, homes, retail shops and
other amenities increased steadily, paving the way
for another boom in the early '90s and earning Myrtle
Beach recognition as one of the fastest growing areas
in the nation. The area's population grew 36.5% over
the past decade!
Today it boasts the following:
- Over 14 million visitors per year
- 120 golf courses
- 50 miniature golf courses
- 200 tennis courts
- 1,800 restaurants
- 8 live entertainment venues
The burgeoning number
of activities, live-music theaters, shopping centers
and golf courses attracts people steadily throughout
the seasons. Conveniently located within a single
day's drive of over 40% of the U.S. population, Myrtle
Beach is one of the most popular beach destinations
on the East Coast.
The
whole nation's buzzing about Myrtle Beach!
- The Travel Channel named Myrtle
Beach one of America's Best Beaches for 2003-2004.
- In terms of cleanliness, scenery,
climate, water temperature and romance, Myrtle Beach
beat out exotic locales such as Waikiki and St.
Thomas in an online poll of favorite beaches conducted
by Yahoo! Travel and National Geographic Traveler
magazine.
- The Grand Strand was named one
of the nation's top vacation spots for retired Americans
age 55 and older, according to tourism researchers
D.K. Shifflet & Associates.
- Sports Illustrated magazine and
the National Recreation and Park Association dubbed
Myrtle Beach "Sportstown USA" in 2004
in reference to its 120 golf courses and large number
of parks and recreation facilities.
and Real Estate is Soaring!
I have been in Myrtle
Beach for 10 years selling real estate, and I know
the market. No doubt about it: The Grand Strand is
red-hot right now, and things are only going to get
hotter!
Third-quarter statistics
in 2005 showed that local real estate jumped 16.5%
in one year. Myrtle Beach is what Miami and Fort Lauderdale
were a decade ago; it's just coming into its own.
Right now prices on these initial properties are affordable,
but it won't be long before they reach the elevated
levels you see in other super popular vacation destinations.
Get
Your Driver in Gear . . . Myrtle Beach is Golf-Tastic!
Myrtle
Beach has been dubbed "The Golf Capitol of the
World," showcasing over 120 championship courses.
The area's golf courses have been designed by some
of the best-known names in golf, including Jack Nicklaus,
Arnold Palmer, Rees Jones, Greg Norman, Tom Fazio
and Davis Love III.
Course architects have
taken great care and consideration in protecting the
natural habitat and wildlife indigenous to this area
while creating technically challenging golf courses.
Golfers will enjoy a serene, idyllic setting while
getting in touch with their competitive side!
"Sea"
All There Is to See in the Grand Strand!
From stunning beaches . . . to thrilling amusement
parks . . . to lively nightlife and theater performances,
Myrtle Beach offers fun and adventure around every
corner! Whether you're looking for a quiet getaway
or non-stop action, this seaside gem will put a smile
on your face.
Swim
the Mildest Waters on the East Coast
If you're drawn to the water, get ready for a wave
of opportunities in Myrtle Beach. Of course,
the Atlantic Ocean is one of the biggest reasons so
many families visit Myrtle Beach year after year.
The clean, broad beaches which characterize this region
are extremely inviting and the water temperatures
are surprisingly warm.
The city's oceanside
location also serves up a diversity of water sports.
Try parasailing, scuba diving, or deep sea fishing
(hey, you might even catch dinner!).
World's First
Hard Rock Park Coming to Myrtle Beach
The Grand Strand brings out the kid in all of us with
over 50 miniature golf courses, legendary amusement
parks, water parks, Ripley's Aquarium, and the Children's
Museum of South Carolina. You'll also find wax museums,
curiosity shops, race cars, and mazes . . . the fun
never ends!
Just opened in 2006 is
the Ripken Baseball Experience which allows children
an opportunity to train and compete in a state-of-the-art
baseball facility personally designed by Cal and Bill
Ripken.
Here's more exciting
news: Myrtle Beach will be the site of the world's
first Hard Rock Park, a $400 million, 140-acre major
theme park, opening in 2008!
World-Class
Dining and Entertainment
Feeling a little hungry? From family style buffets
to fine dining, ethic cuisine to Low Country specialties,
Myrtle Beach features restaurants to whet any appetite.
Visit the Hard Rock Café, or plan a short excursion
to the renowned seafood of Calabash or Murrells Inlet.
Or just enjoy a delicious, hearty pizza or a family
picnic at the beach. In this city, you'll find a dining
option perfect for any taste or budget.
Myrtle Beach continues to offer the best in live entertainment,
with everything from Broadway shows to the House of
Blues. Kick up your heels with Radio City Music Hall's
Rockettes or a local band. Enjoy dinner theaters such
as Dixie Stampede and Medieval Times. Or perhaps a
casino boat cruise or the Sun Fun Festival is more
your style. Myrtle Beach offers endless options for
entertainment, every day of the week.
